What is Grow the San Diego Way?

We are San Diegans from all walks of life, across the political spectrum and with many different perspectives, hobbies and interests. What we have in common is our love for the San Diego lifestyle, quality of life, conservation, and the local environment. We want to make sure our voice is given as much importance by our decision makers as that of deep pocketed corporate interests who seek to profit from our great region without giving anything back in return. While we don't have deep pockets, we have deep passion.  We are a unpaid volunteer-run organization, not sponsored by any corporations or special interests. That’s right, some people actually do things because they care, not because they are paid to.

We are a loose coalition of city folks, rural dwellers, surfers, environmentalists, property rights enthusiasts, outdoors enthusiasts, urbanists, Gen Xers, baby boomers, millennials and Gen Y’ers and just about anyone who loves what San Diego can and should stands for. While it means different things to different people, we all seek a decent quality of life, reduced traffic, a wiser use of our tax dollars, affordable housing, protection from fire dangers, scenic environments and maintaining the unique character of all the cities, towns, communities and neighborhoods of San Diego County while also evolving to new realities. From San Ysidro to Oceanside and from the Pacific Ocean to Borrego Springs, we want to see our area succeed, but to succeed in a San Diego way.  To grow the San Diego way.
